MOV : അബ്നേർ ഹെബ്രോനിൽവെച്ചു മരിച്ചു പോയതു ശൌലിന്റെ മകൻ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ ധൈര്യം ക്ഷയിച്ചു യിസ്രായേല്യരൊക്കെയും ഭ്രമിച്ചുപോയി.
KJV : And when Saul’s son heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands were feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.
YLT : And the son of Saul heareth that Abner [is] dead in Hebron, and his hands are feeble, and all Israel have been troubled.
RV : And when {cf15i Ish-bosheth}, Saul-s son, heard that Abner was dead in Hebron, his hands became feeble, and all the Israelites were troubled.

KJV : And Saul’s son had two men [that were] captains of bands: the name of the one [was] Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin:

ESV : Now Saul's son had two men who were captains of raiding bands; the name of the one was Baanah, and the name of the other Rechab, sons of Rimmon a man of Benjamin from Beeroth ( for Beeroth also is counted part of Benjamin;
ERVEN : Two men went to see to Saul's son. These two men were captains in the army. They were Recab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon from Beeroth. (They were Benjamites because the town Beeroth belonged to the tribe of Benjamin.

KJV : And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son [that was] lame of [his] feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name [was] Mephibosheth.
YLT : And to Jonathan son of Saul [is] a son -- lame; he was a son of five years at the coming in of the rumour of [the death of] Saul and Jonathan, out of Jezreel, and his nurse lifteth him up, and fleeth, and it cometh to pass in her hasting to flee, that he falleth, and becometh lame, and his name [is] Mephibosheth.

ERVEN : Saul's son Jonathan had a son named Mephibosheth. Mephibosheth was five years old when the news came from Jezreel that Saul and Jonathan had been killed. The woman who cared for Mephibosheth picked him up and ran away. But while running away, she dropped the boy, and he became crippled in both feet.

MOV : ബെരോത്യർ രിമ്മോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ രേഖാബും ബാനയും വെയിൽ മൂത്തപ്പോഴേക്കു ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നെത്തി; അവൻ ഉച്ചസമയത്തു ആശ്വസിച്ചു കിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
KJV : And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-bosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
YLT : And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and Baanah, go, and come in at the heat of the day unto the house of Ish-Bosheth, and he is lying down -- the lying down of noon;

ERVEN : Recab and Baanah, sons of Rimmon from Beeroth, went to Ish Bosheth's house at noon. Ish Bosheth was resting because it was hot.

KJV : And they came thither into the midst of the house, [as though] they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him under the fifth [rib:] and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
YLT : and thither they have come, unto the midst of the house, taking wheat, and they smite him unto the fifth [rib], and Rechab and Baanah his brother have escaped;
RV : And they came thither into the midst of the house, as though they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him in the belly: and Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
RSV : And behold, the doorkeeper of the house had been cleaning wheat, but she grew drowsy and slept; so Rechab and Baanah his brother slipped in.

ESV : And they came into the midst of the house as if to get wheat, and they stabbed him in the stomach. Then Rechab and Baanah his brother escaped.
ERVEN : Recab and Baanah came into the house as if they were going to get some wheat. Ish Bosheth was lying on his bed in his bedroom, and they stabbed and killed him. Then they cut off his head and took it with them. They traveled all night on the road through the Jordan Valley.

MOV : ഹെബ്രോനിൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ തല കൊണ്ടുവന്നു രാജാവിനോടു: നിനക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കിയ നിന്റെ ശത്രുവായ ശൌലിന്റെ മകൻ ഈശ്-ബോശെത്തിന്റെ തല ഇതാ; ഇന്നു യജമാനനായ രാജാവിന്നു വേണ്ടി ശൌലിനോടും അവന്റെ സന്തതിയോടും യഹോവ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And they brought the head of Ish-bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.
YLT : and bring in the head of Ish-Bosheth unto David in Hebron, and say unto the king, `Lo, the head of Ish-Bosheth, son of Saul, thine enemy, who sought thy life; and Jehovah doth give to my lord the king vengeance this day, of Saul and of his seed.`

ERVEN : When they arrived at Hebron, they gave Ish Bosheth's head to David. Recab and Baanah said to King David, "Here is the head of your enemy, Ish Bosheth son of Saul. He tried to kill you, but the Lord has punished Saul and his family for you today."

MOV : എന്നാറെ ദാവീദ് ബെരോത്യനായ രിമ്മോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ രേഖാബിനോടും അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ ബാനയോടും ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സകല ആപത്തിൽനിന്നും വീണ്ടെടുത്ത യഹോവയാണ,
KJV : And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
YLT : And David answereth Rechab and Baanah his brother, sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and saith to them, `Jehovah liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

MOV : ശൌൽ മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ എന്നെ അറിയിച്ചു താൻ ശുഭവർത്തമാനം കൊണ്ടുവന്നു എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അവനെ പിടിച്ചു സിക്ളാഗിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നു. ഇതായിരുന്നു ഞാൻ അവന്റെ വർത്തമാനത്തിന്നുവേണ്ടി അവന്നു കൊടുത്ത പ്രതിഫലം.
KJV : When one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, who [thought] that I would have given him a reward for his tidings:
YLT : when one is declaring to me, saying, Lo, Saul is dead, and he was as a bearer of tidings in his own eyes, then I take hold on him, and slay him in Ziklag, instead of my giving to him [for] the tidings.
RV : when one told me, saying, Behold, Saul is dead, thinking to have brought good tidings, I took hold of him, and slew him in Ziklag, which was the reward I gave him for his tidings.

ERVEN : Once before a man thought he would bring me good news. He told me, 'Look! Saul is dead.' He thought I would reward him for bringing me the news. But I grabbed this man and killed him at Ziklag.

MOV : എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടന്മാർ ഒരു നീതിമാനെ അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ മെത്തയിൽവെച്ചു കുലചെയ്താൽ എത്ര അധികം? ഞാൻ അവന്റെ രക്തം നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയാതിരിക്കുമോ?
KJV : How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed? shall I not therefore now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?
YLT : Also -- when wicked men have slain the righteous man in his own house, on his bed; and now, do not I require his blood of your hand, and have taken you away from the earth?`
RV : How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house upon his bed, shall I not now require his blood of your hand, and take you away from the earth?

ERVEN : I will kill you too and remove this evil from our land because you evil men killed a good man sleeping on his own bed, in his own house."

KJV : And David commanded his young men, and they slew them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hanged [them] up over the pool in Hebron. But they took the head of Ish-bosheth, and buried [it] in the sepulchre of Abner in Hebron.
YLT : And David commandeth the young men, and they slay them, and cut off their hands and their feet, and hang [them] over the pool in Hebron, and the head of Ish-Bosheth they have taken, and bury [it] in the burying-place of Abner in Hebron.

ERVEN : So David commanded his young helpers to kill Recab and Baanah. The young men cut off the hands and feet of Recab and Baanah and hanged them by the pool of Hebron. Then they took the head of Ish Bosheth and buried it where Abner was buried at Hebron.
